We are only able to carry out a disclosure on an applicant on behalf of an organisation for whom the applicant is working or intending to work, on a paid or voluntary basis. We cannot provide a disclosure for a self-employed person. In this case you must ask the organisation for whom you intend to work to make the application as your employer.

Please note we cannot assist you in providing a disclosure on yourself. This must be done by your employer or organisation for whom you are working/volunteering. We can only carry out disclosures on persons who will be employed/volunteer in an ‘Excepted Profession’

If you are self-employed you can approach your local Police force and request ‘Subject Access’. Under current legislation, individuals can exercise their rights to apply for access to information held on them including criminal record information under ‘Subject Access’ provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.
